Back on December 14th, 2014 I had the opportunity to go to Portland to photograph the Don't Shoot PDX protest regarding the awful events that took place in Ferguson and in other parts of the United States. Here is what the people had to say and to show:
One of the movement leaders, Teressa Raiford Mazique is holding up a sign while listening to another participant speak.
A man expresses his opinion on the matter to a local tv news crew.
The crowd is chanting "I can't breath" right before starting the protest.
A man performs an original poem in tribute of Eric Garner.

During the annual Portland Rose Festival a couple of the streets in downtown are blocked off so that people can safely gather and gaze upon such event. This man must have thought the rules don't apply to him because he drives a Maserati, but a PDX officer quickly responded to the problem, explained the situation to the man and wrote him out a ticket.
